Let All That We Imagine Be The Light (CD)
Garbage
Amoeba Review
Garbage bring a surge of hard-edged beauty and optimism to their latest. Let All That We Imagine Be the Light finds Shirley Manson and the band trying to break free from the current of despair they see running through society. Of course, in typical Garbage fashion, there's a grungy, gothic beauty to these post-punk-meets-pop songs...there just so happens to be moments to recognize the beauty and fragility of the human experience, moments where hope doesn't seem naive, but instead seems like the most badass thing you can pursue. With nuanced lyrics and addictive melodies, Let All That We Imagine Be the Light is absolutely brilliant.
