1972 EP (LP)
The Black Crowes
Amoeba Review
The Black Crowes love mining the past for its purest moments of rock ’n’ roll, and as purveyors of shaggy, psychedelic hard blues rock, it’s no surprise they turned their attention to 1972. The EP features the Crowes’ take on some of the greatest tracks of the time, with covers of songs by The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, T-Rex, The Temptations, Rod Stewart, and Little Feat. The songs are red hot, funky, and practically dripping with sweat from the stage lights. This band and this era just feel like a natural fit and 1972 is a rollicking good time.
