A Bit Of Previous (LP)
Belle & Sebastian
Amoeba Review
Belle and Sebastian fans should dig their latest album, with its winking title, A Bit of Previous. The band builds on their distinctive sound, fusing sunny ‘60s harmonies with irreverent Brit-pop attitude and even a bit of disco. The album sounds and feels like classic Belle and Sebastian yet there are also moments that surprise and make you stop in your tracks (the aforementioned disco, the carefully placed samples). It’s easy to see why the band has such an enduring, adoring audience, with releases as strong as this one, ten albums in.
