A Christmas Album [Red Vinyl] (LP)
Bright Eyes
Amoeba Review
There's a quality to Conor Oberst's voice that lends itself readily to the magic and melancholy of the holiday season. Originally released as an online exclusive in 2002, Bright Eyes' A Christmas Album is being reissued in time to add some crackling vinyl warmth to your holiday. Oberst and Maria Taylor alternate vocals, giving the album an interesting blend of grounded and slightly ethereal. The arrangements stay mostly true to the traditional versions, with a bit of enjoyable indie quirk thrown in, because, after all, this is a Bright Eyes Christmas album.
