Amoeba Review

The second album from Major Murphy, Access, leans into their throwback '90s and early 2000s indie rock sound with frontman Jacob Bullard crooning over textured guitar songs. "In The Meantime" with mid-tempo, chugging, buzzy guitar, is reminiscent of someone like Matthew Sweet, but less pop-polished. "Unfazed" has a soulful groove that swells into uplifting choruses and a crunchy, classic rock outro. "Real" gets a bit psychedelic while keeping to the toe-tapping grunge-y guitar chords. The title track is a highlight here with its optimistic crescendo of rhythms and backing vocals.
