All Pleasure [Silver Vinyl] (LP)
THUS LOVE
Amoeba Review
On first listen you might assume Thus Love is a Mancunian import from somewhere between the post-punk and Britpop eras. But no, the Brattleboro, VT quartet is a thoroughly contemporary band with contemporary concerns — namely the need for pleasure during our often tumultuous times. Their latest, All Pleasure, is aptly named. These songs are sweeping and soaring, grandiose and gritty...in short, rock 'n' roll at its finest, with a glossy dark patina over a warm-hearted, joyful center. A bold and gorgeous album, All Pleasure deftly blends gravitas with the pursuit of good times.
