All The Truth That I Can Tell [Dark Blue-Green Vinyl] (LP)
Dashboard Confessional
Amoeba Review
All The Truth That I Can Tell is an appropriate name for Dashboard Confessional's soul-baring new album. It's clear from the songs that Chris Carrabba and co. have found themselves at one of those places in life where we stop, look around, and wonder, "How the hell did I get here?" And in true Dashboard Confessional style, the songwriting tackles all those messy, ugly, ultimately life-affirming moments of struggle in a way that feels easy to relate to, yet also courageous. These acoustic songs are relatively minimal in construction, which allows Carrabba to get to the heart of the matter with few strokes, resulting in an album that's immensely enjoyable in spite of the sometimes difficult themes. If you're not already a Dashboard fan, this album should make you one.
