And The Adjacent Possible (CD)
OK Go
Amoeba Review
OK Go are here to make you feel good. On their first album in nearly a decade, And the Adjacent Possible, the ever-entertaining rock 'n' rollers have crafted a funky, infectious, ultra fun, and reassuring record. "A Good, Good Day at Last" feels like just that, an ebullient, ecstatic track that finds a reason to celebrate in spite of it all. "A Stone Only Rolls Downhill" finds the band wishing "I could say it would all be all right," acknowledging fear and anxiety, and leaving the listener feeling better in the process. Ben Harper, Shalyah Fearing, and BEGINNERS all make excellent appearances. Filled with catchy-as-hell hooks, sunny melodies, and upbeat yet clear-sighted lyrics, And the Adjacent Possible is fantastic.
