Remi Wolf
Amoeba Review
California singer/songwriter Remi Wolf writes quirky alt-pop with catchy melodies and blunt, relatable lyrics. The music in "Pitiful" is wildly infectious and upbeat, but it's cleverly contrasted with self-deprecating, heartbroken lyrics. Phrases like "Soak up the sound of crypto bros" add a wry touch to a song about partying and feeling lonely (the indie pop gem "Alone in Miami"). Elsewhere, "Cinderella" is an unexpectedly funky blast complete with '70s-style horns.
