Birth Of Violence (LP)
Chelsea Wolfe

Chelsea Wolfe returns with the sparse, haunting Birth of Violence. Recorded in the solitude of her Northern California home, Wolfe relies largely on her acoustic guitar for this gorgeously textured album. Her folk-rock tendencies win out over the doom influences this time, although there’s a definite weight to the music and Wolfe doesn’t veer away from heavier, more oppressive moments. An autumnal work of great beauty, Birth of Violence showcases the power of Wolfe’s intimate songwriting, otherworldly voice, and searing melodies.
