Jack Antonoff continues to knock 'em out of the park. On Bleachers' new self-titled album, the superstar producer (Lana Del Rey, Taylor Swift, St. Vincent) writes down-and-dirty, dreamily wistful tracks with enough sleek polish and indie ethos to bridge the gap between pop and rock. "Modern Girl" channels Bruce Springsteen and The Replacements for an upbeat, tongue-in-cheek indie pop number. "Alma Mater" is woozy, lovesick, and bittersweet, featuring Lana on guest vocals. The whole album is a treat: It's pop music with heart, indie rock roots, and a ridiculous amount of catchy-as-hell hooks.
