3 Feet High And Rising [Yellow Vinyl] (LP)
De La Soul
After a lengthy struggle related to sampling issues, hip-hop pioneers De La Soul are making their back catalog available to fans once again. In celebration, their 1989 debut 3 Feet High And Rising is getting the reissue treatment. Produced by Prince Paul, the album was hugely influential and commercially successful; even all these decades later, the group sounds as fresh as ever. A vital release for fans of the genre, it's a great time to rediscover 3 Feet High And Rising , or share the love with the next generation of heads
Paradise Pop. 10 [Yellow Vinyl] (LP)
Christian Lee Hutson
The third album from indie folk singer/songwriter Christian Lee Hutson was inspired by his move from L.A. to NYC, and the welcome new perspective he gained. Featuring collaborations with artists like Phoebe Bridgers (“Flamingos”) - who also produced the record - and Maya Hawke (“Carousel Horses”), Paradise Pop. 10 offers gentle introspection and a relatable wistfulness. Highlights include the shimmering ballad “After Hours” and the lively closing track “Beauty School,” featuring Katy Kirby.
Seas And Greetings (CD)
Yachtley Crew
L.A.’s favorite Yacht Rock tribute band Yächtley Crëw have a solid tradition of delighting fans with their covers of ‘70s & ‘80s soft rock hits performed in nautical costumes. Now the group has released Seas and Greetings , a new holiday EP that includes an original track called “Home For Christmas,” a joyful cover of Status Quo’s “It’s Christmas Time,” and three classics. What better way to get into the holiday spirit than cranking up a fun set of tunes from this good-time band?
Dr. Dog (CD)
Dr. Dog
The new self-titled album from Dr. Dog is a masterpiece. This is the band at their best, crafting psych and country-tinged indie rock rich with wistful, captivating, deeply affecting moments. The choruses are lonesome and lovely, the guitarwork sometimes languid and intimate, sometimes rollicking and transportive. An album guaranteed to thaw even the coldest of hearts, these tracks articulate the inarticulable in the way only the best songs can.

Carrie & Lowell (CD)
Sufjan Stevens
Focused, subtle, honest and beautiful. This album is clearly personal and sounds like a mature culmination of all that Sufjan Stevens has been toying with up to this point. It’s consistent with itself and a powerful listen.
I Got Heaven (CD)
Mannequin Pussy
Mannequin Pussy returns with I Got Heaven , a musical showcase of moods, with all of them hitting equally hard in different ways, often within the same song. Singer and guitarist Marisa Dabice bares her soul on the indie-folk track "I Don't Know You," increasing the volume, distortion, and emotion as the song goes on. Conversely, "Ok? Ok! Ok? Ok!" is a chaotic hardcore banger, replete with a tambourine during the breakdown. Brooding and shoegazey one moment, and bludgeoning you over the head in the next, I Got Heaven happily throws the rulebook out the window and does things the Mannequin Pussy way.
Rough & Ready (CD)
Ruthven
Rough & Ready hits the spot. South Londoner Ruthven knows his musical history, creating an ultra fresh blend of classic funk, '70s R&B and Prince-inspired rock 'n' roll that's beguiling, vivid, and life-affirming. The songs are seductive and lush, the type of tracks that make every moment spent listening feel more alive. This sparkling, soaring record is a testament to Ruthven's latent star power. A future classic.
Retrospective: Selected Recordings 1973-2023 [Clear Vinyl] (LP)
Bryan Ferry
The first solo career retrospective for the dapper Roxy Music frontman includes favorite tracks from his extensive catalog plus rarities, covers, outtakes, B-sides, and more. It also features a new track that is a collaboration with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross: A funky, electro song called “Star” feat. Amelia Barratt. The covers include his 1973 New Wave-y take on Bob Dylan’s “A Hard Rain’s a-Gonna Fall” and an elegant new cover of Dylan’s “She Belongs To Me.” It’s the perfect collection for fans of the consummate singer/songwriter.

I Hear You (CD)
Peggy GOU
After eight years of singles, mixes and EPs, South Korean DJ/singer/producer Peggy Gou brings old-school house into the new era on her rousing debut full-length album, I Hear You . Funky rock superstar Lenny Kravitz adds some soulful vocals to the seductive "I Believe in Love Again," and acclaimed Puerto Rican trans idol Villano Antillano adds Latin flair to “All That.” Like a skilled alchemist, Gou has broken down retro house and traditional Asian music into their raw materials and concocted a unique blend all her own.
Rationale (LP)
Glitterer
Branching out from his roots in Title Fight, Ned Russin has elevated Glitterer from a one-man side project to a fully formed band on Rationale . Russin and company pluck moments of shiny synth from the '80s, fuse them together with '90s fist-pumping alternative rock and 00's shoegaze and pop and you're getting a sense of what to expect from Rationale .
Lament [40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition] [Box Set] (LP)
Ultravox
Ultravox’s 1984 masterpiece Lament gets the deluxe anniversary treatment in this 5LP box set. The clear color 140-gram vinyl set includes a new remaster of the original album, extended remixes by Moby, Steve Wilson, Blank & Jones, and Midge Ure, plus a full 1984 concert recording from Hammersmith Odeon. Fans of romantic New Wave singles like “Lament” and “Dancing With Tears In My Eyes” can rejoice in this deluxe reissue.
Oh Brother (CD)
Dawes
Dawes does it again. Oh Brother is warm and grounded, packed with easy-to-love tracks that run the gamut from ultra catchy, country-inflected rock to downbeat, moody ballads. The band explores the everyday anxiety and uplift of being alive in 2024 — at times with a tongue firmly planted in cheek, at others with a darker, more contemplative approach. This is an album that'll make you laugh out loud at Kanye references, relate to the longing for a good house party, and marvel at the strange journey of getting older, but not necessarily wiser. Oh Brother will hit all the right notes for fans, and should win over some new ones, too.
