Broken Mirror: A Selfie Reflection is an avant garde collaboration between producer Matthew E. White and visual artist/musician Lonnie Holley, sometimes called The Sand Man for his sculptures from found materials. Featuring the 72-year-old Holley's mostly spoken word vocals, these five tracks of varying lengths are free-flowing, cosmic, and surreal. The title track is a highlight here, a gritty, ominous incantation, while "I Cried Space Dust/Composition 12" exudes psychedelic and spiritual vibes. "Get Up! Come Walk with Me/Composition 7" is soulfully hypnotic, rounding out this unusual set.
