C'mon You Know (CD)
Liam Gallagher
Amoeba Review
The legendary Liam Gallagher returns with his first new album since 2017, C’mon You Know. Gallagher’s firing on all cylinders with this one. “Better Days,” with the repeated phrase “believe me, yeah” is a sweeping, cinematic celebration of hope and survival. “Everything’s Electric” is a catchy as hell, bittersweet goodbye with a deliciously woozy chorus. The title track is one of Gallagher’s best; it feels like a Britpop future classic, with full-bodied gospel-style backing vocals, powerful emotional crescendos, and searing guitars played out over dreamy piano. Featuring Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters and Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend.
