When five teens from all over the globe combine the power of their magic rings, they summon Captain Planet, a superhero who uses earth, wind, fire, water, and heart to combat the vile villains out to pollute the environment. Media master Ted Turner's socially conscious animated series ran from 1990-96 and featured the voices of such celebrities as Whoopi Goldberg, LeVar Burton, Martin Sheen, Sting, and Meg Ryan.
