Change (LP)
Anika
Amoeba Review
It’s hard to believe that it has been eleven years since Anika’s last release, her excellent 2010 self-titled debut on Sacred Bones. Now she’s back with Change and the wait was well worth it. Co-produced with her Exploding View compatriot Martin Thulin, the songs have an intense beauty to them, a fragile hope—but a hope, nonetheless. Change is a message for the future, anchored in the pain of yesterday and the resilience of today. This achingly lovely album is an ideal soundtrack for the new world we all find ourselves inhabiting.
