Changephobia (LP)
Rostam
Amoeba Review
Rostam’s Changephobia is sweetly romantic, idyllic and heartfelt. “Unfold You” is a subtle charmer, with slowed down throwback finger-snaps, hazy, floating vocals, and swooning sax. “4Runner” is a dizzy alt-pop love song replete with all the freedom and joy of young love. The title track is musing and upbeat even as Rostam’s lyrics explore and dissect the knee-jerk fear of change. Across the board, the arrangements are top-notch, with surprising turns from collaborator Henry Solomon’s skilled saxophone and emotive, plinking keys. Another impressive outing from the many-talented Rostam.
