Cousin (LP)
Wilco
Amoeba Review
Wilco's Cousin finds the band returning to their indie sound after last year's deep twang outing, Cruel Country. In their own way, each album is excellent, an enveloping sonic and emotional experience which begs the question, "Do we have a new golden age of Wilco?" "Evicted" is a smartly-written, emotionally impactful chronicle of lost love. "Cousin" is a driving tour de force in songwriting. And that's just a sampling. With production by Cate Le Bon, this is definitely one of Wilco's most intriguing outings.
