Dirt Femme (CD)
Tove Lo
Amoeba Review
Criminally slept-on Swedish pop diva Tove Lo returns with another treasure trove of bangers, Dirt Femme. In typical Tove Lo fashion, these addictive tracks revel in their own bad behavior, with a dark sheen as glossy as black latex. It’s probably no surprise that there’s real vulnerability and self-exploration underlying all these tales of debauchery, destruction, and drama—that’s part of what makes Tove Lo stand out from the pack. (It’s probably no surprise she probably has new fans coming from HBO’s candy-hued Euphoria.) Listen for appearances from Swedish indie/folk duo First Aid Kit, English singer-songwriter/producer SG Lewis, and American rapper/producer Channel Tres.
