Disposable Everything [Red Vinyl] (LP)
AJJ
Amoeba Review
AJJ's Disposable Everything is a tongue-in-cheek, middle-finger-in-the-air look at contemporary society. "This is no exaggeration, we're living in a death machine," Sean Bonnette sings on "Death Machine." The album is full of wry, acerbic moments like this, made all the more powerful when the band slows down on tracks like the melancholy, yet still occasionally droll "White Ghosts." The songs are propulsive and fiery: punk rock numbers in the trappings of Mountain Goats-esque indie rock. Clever and dynamic, Disposable Everything shows off what AJJ does best.
