Do Unto Others (CD)
Sandy Salisbury
Amoeba Review
Tiffany Anders 10/19/2010
Sandy Salisbury was a member of the stellar musical collective known as The Millennium and what would later evolve into Sagittarius, which featured such upstanding talent as Curt Boettcher, Joey Stec, and Lee Mallory. Salisbury recorded a solo album for Gary Usher and Curt Boettcher’s Together Records that, unfortunately, for logistically complex reasons folded before Salisbury’s debut could be released. Thankfully, the album has been unearthed in many different versions. Do Unto Others was the second reissue released and features four bonus tracks. Like nearly every solo album put out by this wonderful group of talented songwriters and musicians, this release does not disappoint. A strong listen from start to finish, the album consists of perfectly crafted pop songs with wonderful arrangements and fantastic vocals. Salisbury made the album with his cohorts in The Millennium, and several of the tracks share writing credit. Do Unto Others is sunshine pop at its finest, and like every output from this collective, it is well worth the purchase.
