Opener "Ordinary Love" kicks off German producer, DJ, musician, and songwriter Roosevelt's new album Embrace with a bang. Searing '80s basslines and disco synths create a dreamy throwback feel that carries through the whole album, from lovelorn electro ballads to upbeat dance pop numbers. There's a bittersweet undertow to these tracks in spite of inherent danceableness: these are songs about recognizing where you are in life and learning to love it.
