Esja [Clear Vinyl] (LP)
Hania Rani
Amoeba Review
Esja is the debut solo piano album from Polish composer/pianist/musician Hania Rani. Simply put, the songs are breathtaking. Rani studied classical music extensively before getting exposed to jazz and electronic music: this background clearly informs her timeless yet avant-garde approach. The songs are poignant and shimmering, lush soundscapes as boundless and beautiful as the night sky. Fans of Philip Glass, Max Richter, and Nils Frahm will be delighted to hear Esja and welcome a stunning new artistic voice to the fold.
