Thee Oh Sees
Amoeba Review
07/28/2020
Psych-punk favorites, Oh Sees, deliver a double album of tracks in their fiercely unique sound. Songs like “Gholü" are perfect mash-ups of high-energy garage/punk and psychedelic noises, while the nearly 15-minute “Scutum & Scorpius” kicks off with a synth intro that would almost fit into the Stranger Things score before hitting the '60s organ and turning into an opus. “Poisoned Stones” is funk and hard rock slammed together, while “Psy-Ops Dispatch” leans towards moody prog-rock. These 14 tracks are an extra treat for fans new and old of this ever-evolving band.
