Fast Idol (CD)
Black Marble
Amoeba Review
Black Marble sounds better than ever on Fast Idol. Beneath the metallic drums and melancholy synths, the band’s sound seems to possess a fresh, new sense of rebirth amidst the decay. The iciness and gloomy glamour fans have come to know and love is still present in spades, of course, with these songs representing a subtle evolution in songwriting. There’s loneliness, yes, but there’s also an indisputable hope for humanity. It’s the perfect soundtrack for those dystopian days when you need just the teensiest bit of light to cut through the shadows.
