Tokyo based composer Leo Takami releases his latest soundscape filled album, Felis Catus and Silence. Unlike the piano-led minimalism of his 2017 album Tree of Life, Felis Catus and Silence is more focused around Takami's virtuoso guitar playing, layering fusion jazz elements within new age ambient settings, not unlike those found within storied NA label Windham Hill's popular 1980s period. The end result is engrossing yet relaxing, both a satisfying focused sit-down listen as well as background for a Sunday drive or brunch.
