From 2 To 3 (LP)
Peach Pit
Amoeba Review
Canadian indie rockers Peach Pit are back with From 2 to 3, a country/folk-tinged collection that feels intimate and inviting. It’s a record that feels instantly familiar, with that cozy home feeling buoyed by gentle acoustic melodies (“Look Out!”) and quirky, rollicking instrumentation (“Vickie”). Perhaps that’s a result of singer Neil Smith’s writing process; he has shared that the songs were created late at night, singing quietly, alone, so as not to wake the neighbors. Relatable, and well worth the effort on the band’s part, From 2 to 3 is a thoroughly enjoyable album that deserves many spins.
