From Dreams To Dust [Red / Cream Colored Vinyl] (LP)
The Felice Brothers
Amoeba Review
The Felice Brothers’ eighth studio album, From Dreams To Dust, is a rich pageant of Americana, indie rock and country/blues. The buoyant opening track, “Jazz on The Autobahn,” is stunning with its talky vocals, steady beat, and horns. “To-Do List” is warm and Dylan-esque, with unexpectedly rockin’ electric guitar solos. Then there are the hushed, darkly folky “Inferno” and the brooding “Silverfish” with its jazzy piano and swelling back-up vocals. It’s an album with strong dynamics and consistently sharp songwriting.
