To celebrate signing with Carpark Records, Ducks Ltd. (formerly Ducks Unlimited) has released an expanded version of their debut EP, Get Bleak, which includes three new tracks. Like The Smiths meets early 2000s indie rock, their brand of melodic rock is infectious while maintaining a scrappier DIY sound. The single “As Big As All Outside” features lovely strings, for example, but they are downplayed, letting the chugging guitar and catchy bassline carry the song. The title track is equally strong with singer Tom McGreevy's light, straightforward vocals drawing you in. These guys are a band to watch.
