Glasgow Eyes (CD)
The Jesus And Mary Chain
Amoeba Review
The Jesus & Mary Chain sound reinvigorated and vital on Glasgow Eyes. It's the band's first studio album in seven years and they've lost none of their moody ferocity. "Chemical Animal" is hypnotic, seething, and as darkly addictive as the substances alluded to in the lyrics. "jamcod" is trippy and driving, with woozy synths and fuzzed out guitars. Glasgow Eyes is a satisfying, must-hear album that just might be one of the band's best.
