God Games (CD)
The Kills
Amoeba Review
On their latest, God Games, The Kills certainly seem divinely inspired. While the duo sounds gritty as ever and just as ferociously rock 'n' roll, there's a sort of lightness to these tracks, a little gospel underpinning the blues. Of course, this being The Kills, there's also enough dagger's edge and down-in-the-dirt gutsiness to satisfy your dark side. God Games is addictive, alluring, and an all-around stellar listen. An unpredictable, invigorating release from one of the most visionary acts in contemporary rock music.
