Gold-Diggers Sound [Indie Exclusive] (LP)
Leon Bridges
Amoeba Review
Leon Bridges’ Gold-Diggers Sound is undeniable. Bridges’ once-in-a-generation voice croons and soars over sweet soul melodies, reveling in vulnerability and languishing in love. Robert Glasper’s piano is enchanting as always, while the occasional brass instrumental adds potent soul. Fun fact for LA locals: the album draws its name from the East Hollywood bar and recording studio where Bridges wrote and recorded it (and apparently took up residence for some time.) Organic, vibrant and breathtaking, this is the kind of deep-hearted record that just makes you feel good to be alive.
