Harry's House (CD)
Harry Styles
Amoeba Review
On Harry’s House, Harry Styles delivers another thoughtful, intimate pop album full of bops. Lead single “As It Was” demonstrates the singer’s gift for unfiltered authenticity that feels like a late night conversation with your best friend or your beloved—all while delivered over catchy-as-hell melodies. Superstar that he is, Styles eschews much of the gloss of the genre, instead aiming for more of an indie pop vibe on a number of the tracks. He’s a charming, confident performer and artist who has the cache to play with musical and lyrical expectations, yet all his choices seem to come from a place of natural curiosity, self-assurance, and passion. Thus, we’re ready to go wherever the tour of Harry’s House takes us.
