Healer [Blue Vinyl] (LP)
Grouplove
Amoeba Review
What the world needs now…is Grouplove, sweet Grouplove. The ebullient indie pop group’s latest is appropriately named Healer — it’s a nod to the power of these vivacious, multi-faceted jams. Even when the mood shifts from glittering, hopped-up electro towards a dreamier, more wistful balladry, there’s a certain joie de vivre behind the music that’ll make you want to hit “repeat” again and again. Healer is an album that feels very urgent and very now, but with a staying power that means it’ll be a favorite for years to come. Sometimes you just wanna feel good and Grouplove gets that.
