Clarence Greenwood of Citizen Cope returns after a 6-year hiatus with his sixth studio album, Heroin and Helicopters, a set of songs that address the dark nature of society but push for optimism. “The River” is a jangly ballad that showcases Greenwood's sincere, guttural vocals. “Justice” rides along on a shuffling groove and breaks down into a melodic, soulful chorus.
