Hot, Wet & Sassy [Black & Clear Striped Vinyl] (LP)
TOBACCO
Amoeba Review
Tom Fec's Tobacco projects returns with Hot Wet & Sassy, a more pop-inspired album than the experimental electronic artist's last -- despite the fact that this one features a collaboration with Trent Reznor, a track called "Babysitter." The song grinds and saws its way through the verses, but the chorus is a soft, sweet bubble and the contrast works perfectly. Disarming melodies buried in analog electronics are the theme of this enjoyable album. "Headless to Headless" for example is catchy as hell amid over-blown dark fuzz and synths.
