Avant-pop duo Jockstrap (Taylor Skye and Georgia Ellery) take unexpected twists and turns in their lush, quirky music. On I Love You Jennifer B, Ellery’s arresting vocals share the space with orchestral and electronic elements, perhaps more obviously in “Concrete Over Water” with its dramatic changes from chamber pop to dance music. Even “Glasgow,” which starts out with ordinary guitar strumming, quickly develops spacey sounds and playful vocals. This highly creative and imaginative duo are certainly ones to watch.
