Alice In Chains founding guitarist Jerry Cantrell returns with his fourth solo album, I Want Blood. Taking a harder, darker turn from 2021's Brighten, the mood and tone of blood casts a dark shadow, but the energy and passion still overflows. Cantrell's trademark vocal harmonies are still at the forefront, but with a sound that has grown and matured over the last 30 years, leading to some of his strongest solo work since 2002's Degradation Trip. Returning for Blood are Guns n' Roses bassist Duff McKagan, drummer Gil Sharone, and vocalist Greg Pusciato, formerly of Dillinger Escape Plan, and also features guest spots from Metallica's Robert Trujillo and Faith No More's Mike Bordin.
