On Connie Han's third album, the rising star jazz pianist with the bad girl image locks in tight with trumpeter Jeremy Pelt, bassist Ivan Taylor, and drummer Bill Wysaske who is also the group's producer and music director. Han shows off her post bop skills with "For The O.G." and is exuberant on the lively "Dark Chambers." The players swing satisfyingly through "Mr. Dominator," but cool down for the romantic pieces "The Forsaken" and the intricate, moody "Nova."
