It’s pretty hard not to love the ingenious fusion of Peruvian roots music and modern dub-lounge rhythms proffered by Novalima, especially on their third album for Thievery Corporation’s ESL imprint. Jazzy equatorial horns and Afro-percussion make nice with electro grooves on an album that’s perfect for nighttime clubbing or seaside celebration.
