Finnish band Rosettes make their album debut with Lifestyles, delivering a strong set of psych-soul and jazz/funk music. These are hypnotic, groovy, intricately arranged songs inspired by artists like Cymande and Sade. Tytti Roto's laidback vocals excel on the funky, stirring "Green Ray," which sounds like the soundtrack to striding through NYC in the '70s. "Spirals" and the title track are sophisticated soulful gems, while "Souvenir" is stately and lounge-y.
