Like A Stone [Eco Mix Colored Vinyl] (LP)
Remember Sports
Amoeba Review
Like A Stone, the new album from indie rockers Remember Sports, deftly handles self-analysis and dark humor through Carmen Perry’s warbly but direct vocals. The band invokes artists like Waxahatchee and Phoebe Bridgers with feelgood ballads like “Out Loud” and emo-folk tracks like “Materialistic” – amped up by an angular guitar solo or two - but they truly excel with the garage-rock energy of album opener “Pinky Ring.” Elsewhere there are elements of country and surf rock, giving Like A Stone a pleasant range of good songwriting.
