Mengers
Mengers are a power trio from Mexico City that thrive on a noisy and powerful blend of the most incendiary form of rock music. Informed by garage rock, punk, stoner rock, and psychedelic music, the sound practiced by the band has been the essence of their art since they formed at the end of 2016. Mengers is composed of the Calderón brothers Carlos (guitar) and Pablo (drums), as well as Mauricio Suárez (bass). The band started when Pablo got a drum kit as a present on his 15th birthday and soon began knocking out cover songs. They honed their sound playing parties in the Southern part of Mexico City, away from the trendy spots at the time. This allowed the band to make something more energetic, raw, and passionate than most of their contemporaries. As big music fans, the three members of Mengers have an affinity for a wide variety of music.
Vondré
Music has always been intertwined with Vondré's life, growing up in a family where her father played the guitar, and her mother was an artist. At the young age of 13, she embarked on a musical journey, beginning with guitar lessons from a private tutor. Vondré's dedication and talent earned her a scholarship at Berklee College of Music after high school. There, she majored in Music Production and Engineering while honing her guitar skills over three transformative years. Upon returning to Mexico, Vondré expanded her musical horizons, delving into classical piano and establishing herself as a sought-after session guitarist for local artists.
Vondré's music defies easy categorization, weaving elements of alternative rock, folk, and indie. Her lyrics delve into themes of love, life, and the human experience, delivered with heartfelt, soul-stirring vocals. Vondré's band includes Moty, Adrian Paz, and Liz, each bringing unique skills and a positive attitude to the mix.
