Since arriving on the scene in 2019, Mexican-American singer and songwriter DannyLux has mesmerized countless listeners around the world, enchanting audiences with his addictingly hypnotic “Alternative-Sierreño” style that has revolutionized the sound of regional Mexican music.
Raised in California, his musical journey began at 7 when his father gifted him a discarded guitar. Influenced by icons like The Beatles and Ariel Camacho, DannyLux embarked on a self-taught musical path, gaining fame on social media at 15.
In 2021, after signing with VPS Music, his debut album "Las Dos Caras Del Amor" garnered attention, and he topped Billboard’s Latin Songwriters chart with "Jugaste y Sufrí." 2022 saw a meteoric rise with a Warner Music Latina deal, a No. 1 album on Apple Music ("Perdido En Ti"), and opening for Coldplay in Mexico.
Throughout 2022, he secured multiple award nominations, represented the new wave of regional Mexican artists at Billboard Latin Music Week, and embarked on a successful "Limerencia" tour. DannyLux ended the year headlining Viva! Pomona Fest.
In 2023, he debuted at Coachella, received city keys to his hometown, Desert Hot Springs, and earned accolades, including a BMI Latin Music Award. Notably, the young artist was listed for the 2nd consecutive year in Billboard’s 21 under 21 list and joined Variety’s Young Hollywood Report in 2023 and made history by being the first Musica Mexicana artist to perform on Colors Show, and later made his debut on NPR’s Tiny Desk. His critically acclaimed album DLUX solidified his impact, debuting high on global charts. This album includes the viral hit House of Lux, and collaborations with artists such as Eslabon Armado, Cuco, Gabito Ballesteros, Pablo Hurtado, Yami Safdie, Maye, Melvin War, and Jordyn Shellhart.
At 19, DannyLux is a rising force in regional Mexican music, pushing boundaries and leaving an indelible mark on the industry. The future promises limitless possibilities for this trailblazing artist.
