Muérete Tú
Muérete Tú was born as a space to express anger, pain, and the uncertainty of young adulthood without self-censorship. In 2021, Camila, Eliud, and Roberto started searching for their own sounds, screams, and beats that represent these emotions, as well as the strength to fight against anything trying to silence them.
Their debut album, Justo donde me dolía, leans into the nostalgia of childhood and adolescence, focusing on the sentimental perceptions of Camila, Eliud, and Roberto. It reflects their experiences in school in Mexico, encompassing friendships, loves, heartbreaks, anger, and joy.
Throughout their career, they have shared the stage with bands such as Black Lips, Death Valley Girls, Margaritas Podridas, Destroy Boys, Jessy Bulbo, El Shirota, and more. They always seek to curate their music in a way that resonates with the senses and emotions that inspire their creations.
Their album blends different textures of garage rock, finding a balance between the powerful and deafening elements of screamo and the melodic side of pop. According to Revista MARVIN: “Muérete Tú is undoubtedly one of the most interesting garage projects in recent years.”
They’ve been described as a “gang of punks with emo traits that will torment your ears with powerful distortions, intense choruses, and fast-paced rhythms.” Indie Rocks! magazine notes their increasing presence in various places and their excitement for the band’s rise.
Descartes a Kant
Descartes a Kant is a group from Guadalajara, México that blends an eclectic palette of musical influences with other art forms such as theater, dance and film. It's a balanced mix between composition and performance, made from a narrative language that the band has managed to consolidate throughout their career.
Quoting a critic from the Wall Street Journal: "Trying to describe their music is to do it a disservice. It’s loud, racy, incredibly imaginative, sophisticated, funny, and wild; it’s as if the Yeah Yeah Yeahs fronted Albert Ayler with Frank Zappa conducting”
Their latest album, After Destruction, portrays psychic discomfort in a compulsively hyper-communicative but emotionally isolated society, with a retro-futuristic aesthetic, destructive guitars, synthesizers, and soulful melodies.
