Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Cuco celebrates his new album, Ridin’ (Interscope Records), with a release day album signing on Friday, May 9th at 5pm!

Pre-order Ridin’ on vinyl or CD at Amoeba SF starting May 1st to receive a wristband for entry to the signing line (while supplies last). The album will be available for purchase on the day of the event ONLY if we haven't already sold out.

Turning heads and altering perceptions is what charming Hawthorne, CA-based Cuco is all about. Since the lo-fi bedroom pop of his debut mixtape Wannabewithu from 2016 and his dreamy first full album, 2019’s Para Mi, Cuco has crafted his own bilingually-crooned, Mexican-American universe full of witty romanticos with a psychedelic, spaced-out edge. With Ridin’, Cuco is prepared to evolve with an intimate new sound that’s uniquely soulful and organic, with lyrics touched by heartbreak, glee, and history.

Moving backward to forge ahead with the aid of producer-musician Tom Brenneck (Bruno Mars, Amy Winehouse), Ridin’ is Cuco’s poignant tribute to Southern California’s past – AM radio waves, Chicano soul classics, sumptuous horn charts, vintage car culture – intertwined with his coming-of-age look at romance and friendship. The mellifluous ripple of AM radio from another time drifts across Ridin’ like a hot Santa Ana wind, but, of course, with Cuco’s insistence on chill vibes and impassioned storytelling.
