Look At It In The Light (LP)
Kate Bollinger
Amoeba Review
New Ghostly signee Kate Bollinger's Look at It in the Light is ideal listening for gentle spring mornings and breezy summer afternoons. Over the length of this short-but-sweet six song EP, Bollinger moves from '60s style sunshine pop to jazz-tinged indie. The arrangements are lyrical and lovely, the mood upbeat and playful. The collection has the feeling of one of those long-lost private press albums that suddenly reemerges in all its golden glory and becomes a massive underground hit. With songwriting this strong, Look at It in the Light definitely deserves attention.
