Amoeba Review
The hazy, dreamy, melancholic Lost in Translation soundtrack is era-defining. With multiple mood-setters from Kevin Shields, a crushingly lovely favorite from The Jesus and Mary Chain, and a wistful, pastel-hued number from Air, alienation has never felt so atmospheric and so lovely. Every once in a while, you get a soundtrack that serves as an exceptional mirror to its companion film, that's a work of art in its own right. This is one such soundtrack. A gorgeous collection that finds transcendence amidst dissatisfaction and disconnection.
