Amanda Shires & Bobbie Nelson team up for the remarkable Loving You. As a teen, Shires saw Nelson perform at a festival and was inspired by her artistry and by her role as a sideman — Nelson was the first woman Shires saw working in music in this capacity. Fast forward to 2021, when the pair teamed up to record songs they've loved and performed throughout their careers, including a solo piano number from Nelson. Her brother, Willie Nelson, makes a guest appearance on a languid, haunting cover of "Summertime" that brings a new dimension to the now classic song. Loving You is beautiful, lively, and inspiring, one of the year's most vibrant country records.
