Lucifer On The Sofa (CD)
Spoon
Amoeba Review
We’ve all heard that old story about musicians selling their soul to become the best in the game. Spoon’s latest, Lucifer on the Sofa almost begs the question: is that what’s going on here? Because surely no band has any right to be this good, this consistently. Lucifer is the band’s tenth studio album and it’s one of their most intensely rock ’n’ roll efforts in recent memory, filled with infectious melodies and propulsive rhythms. Absolutely essential for fans of smart, forward-thinking indie.
